“It was July of 2012, I was serving as a staff pastor in San Antonio and was on a flight from Texas to Birmingham. Looking out the plane window as we crossed over the Mississippi River at the green grass of my home state, I suddenly knew, God was calling me back to the city of my birth to be His representative to my own people. It has been a journey of humility and faith from that moment. The rest of the story…. is being written”

Michael and Leslie sought direction and training and in the spring of 2013 they were encouraged, coached and assessed by ARC (the Association of Related Churches). Their home church family in San Antonio and ARC deemed them ready for the work to come.

Michael and Leslie Moore, their three young children, Ms. Vicki (Michael’s mom), and Emily and Erin Harvey (friends from San Antonio) all moved to Jackson at the end of the summer of 2013. They, along with Mike and Liz Wroten and Dane Pitts, went to work praying, planning, and connecting to establish a team to launch Magnolia Church.

With the help and support of Northrock Church in San Antonio and the generosity of friends and family from Texas to North Carolina, the team and plans came together.

Magnolia Church has a home at 1198 Ford Rd just south of Byram!
Who knows what impact Magnolia Church will ultimately have on our community? Our mission is to strengthen our communities one person at a time and leave this place better than we found it. The task is large but the rewards are worth the price.

Magnolia Church works to be a life-giving church that makes a huge difference! Join us on Sunday mornings and help launch a brand new church full of hope and life.

We meet every Sunday at 10:30am. Friends and guest are a welcome part of every gathering. Come check us out!
